Although it may seem like a non-traditional hire, when more and more African-Americans fulfill the requirements for college degrees, they are likewise, hopeful to actually work in those fields.
Becoming the best version of you, as it relates to the job we
are discussing. Often, people are talented, and can do many things well.
Depending on the task we are discussing, you are apparently good at it, if you
are applying for a job at this.
Some jobs start out seeming to be a profitable way to earn a living. But then
hidden fees kick in, costs for transportation, tolls, travel related fees,
non-paid work related issues, etc. complicated pay processes, that make the job less profitable than once thought. Moreover, some jobs don't pay enough to
repair the car you use to get to work, or pay for child care expenses
associated with taking a job. Can you pay your bills from the funds derived
from this gig? Would you be able to squirrel away some money to savings after
your bills are paid, or no?
Firstly: I think that it is good for teachers to think about themselves in a
financial sense, and also in a professional sense, because often we really
don't think of ourselves that way.
