I contend that Education as a construct, benefits from Technology as a
construct. I feel that simply teaching and learning the same way that it had
always been done, needed a change.
Since most of us have had some educational experiences we all feel that we are
experts in Education. We have some successes and perhaps failures to point to,
that make us know something about the educational experience.
We used to say as children:
"Sticks and stones, may break my bones but names will never hurt me".; but in truth both the names and the stones hurt, and did damage. We live in a day, and a time, where both literal stones, and despicable names are being thrown around at each other, as if, we never learned childhood lessons of basic proper behavior.
Teachers are entering politics, and collectively bargaining for their own
livelihoods, putting skin in the game, putting shoe leather to the ground to make the change that we need today.

There are times when going it alone, is necessary. But, most of the time, it is
better to go down that path with a buddy. If one falls down, the other can help
the friend up again.
Firstly: I think that it is good for teachers to think about themselves in a
financial sense, and also in a professional sense, because often we really
don't think of ourselves that way.
People used to use and old adage: "Better Safe Than Sorry" to describe the
process of preparing one's self for the unknown. It still is relevant today.
